But being a photographer who takes a camera with him everywhere, I find that at times that I see things that just need to be photographed. Sometimes it’s an interesting sign, or a neat tree, and sometimes I see something beautiful and just need to immortalize the moment. These images are of the latter category.

The first image was taken just outside of my office a few days before a major storm hit Oahu. the second image was taken 2 days after that storm hit. It was a pretty bad storm which is why the second image has such significance for me. The weather was quite bad and it forced me to cancel two shoots that I had been looking forward to for weeks. One of those shoots was a once in a lifetime shoot. I was feeling quite down and as I was driving to work this is what I saw out of my car window. After I took the shot, I didn’t feel so bad anymore.
