Last night’s shoot was great! Jessamyn is such an amazing model to work with and a great person as well. I feel quite blessed to have met her and to work with her. This was the second time I’ve worked with her and I hope that we can work together a lot more. Of course her living in Australia and me being in Hawaii does make that difficult but I hope that she’ll come back to Hawaii soon. Or maybe I should go to Australia!

Because of my schedule we shot indoors. I used 2 500 watt halogen worklights I picked up from Wal-Mart for about $30. And a couple of long black duvatine peices as my backdrop that I borrowed from a friend. At first I worried that the lights wouldn’t be bright enough or that they would throw a strange cast in the images.

As it turned out, they worked like a dream! The color of light they gave me was nice and warm. When I took the first test shot I was surprised and at the same time, relieved.

I’m very happy with my low budget lights, the images that resulted, and of course getting a chance to hang out with such a wonderful muse.
