It's all about imagination.

The first thing that sets-off in this photo are the painted toe-nails. I'm immediately drawn to the toes of her beautiful feet and I can think of no better focal point for the shot you have crafted here.

Her body is sharply contrasted to the rocks and the eye is left with no choice but to follow the lines of her legs up and into the photograph.

Finally, you've left enough about the background to set the mind to work. The glorious sky above and the sea out to the right made me believe that I was looking at a mermaid who was taking some time out of her busy day to catch some rays on the rocks.

For those who might get worried at the idea of me starting to shoot less nudes. Let me just dispel that myth. I am not quitting the artistic nude shots. I am exploring other styles as well that may or may not contain nudity.

Hi Jason! I found your blog through your twitter page (you added me). I'm an Olympus user too. The 14-54mm is a fine lens. Go for it without a second thought. I bought it here in Bangalore for about $655 :(

An addition to the post above:

I just found a review of the Olympus E-520 which should be coming out in August 2008. The reviews are very good but I'd still like to see whether they made the viewfinder bigger like it is on Nikon cameras before I bought one.

Read the review at <a href="http://photo.net/equipment/olympus/e520/preview/" rel="nofollow">photo.net</a>
