a cool app for your iPhone camera!
A friend of mine showed me a neat app the other day that I thought was quite cool! It’s called “Quad Camera” and is available in the iTunes app store for $1.99. I paid for my copy and Art&Mobile, the company that makes the app is not paying me for writing about their app! Just so you know!
Essentially it take a series of images, one after the other and arranges them in a grid or a strip configuration based on your preference. you can select a 2×2 arrangement, 4×1, 2×4, and 8×1. You can also select the duration the software uses inbetween shots. when you take a picture the software starts snapping away and arranges the images for you. My favorite use of this app is to make a series of images that by themselves would be uninteresting but by putting them together this way, they seem to become more interesting. almost like seeing several different views on the same moment in time.
The more I play with this app the more I think about applying the same idea with my bigger cameras and see what I get. The resolution on the iPhone isn’t that great. But I can see how it might be fun to try this technique on my primary camera!
