During my last shoot, I took a few shots at the beginning of the shoot with my new 50mm lens but then switched back to my standard 18mm-135mm lens for the rest of it.  I wanted to test out the lens and see how it captured nudes.  What I didn’t want was to spend an entire shoot working with new gear only to find that every shot is ruined because of it.  Turns out that every shot I took with the 50mm lens was fantastic!  So on my next shoot I’ll be shooting with it, the entire time!

Tomorrow I’ll be shooting with a new model that I’ve never worked with before.  It’s always a little scary to work with someone you’ve worked with before.  I worry because I don’t know what I’m going to get.  But that’s also the fun part as well.  I enjoy the feeling of unknown. that feeling that when you look through the lens… anything could happen.  Of course what usually happens is something beautiful and magical.  There really is no need to worry and yet I still get butterflies in my stomach and that nervous feeling takes over.  I love it!
