Shooting Outdoors…

This weekend I’m going to attempt a shoot. I say attempt because the weather has been extremely unstable and cold here the past couple of weeks. Last weekend Sylvia and myself shot together and the weather quickly went from bad to worse. So we had to cut it short.

Many people know that I prefer to shoot outdoors. I spend so much time indoors that I want to break out, be among the trees, feel the wind across my face, and run free! I really don’t want to be shooting indoors. Especially because I have Hawaii as my personal backdrop!

What I love about shooting outdoors is that things change. The sun is in motion, clouds cover the sun and then uncover it again. The trees change throughout the year. Stream levels go up and down, And then you might find that a group of hikers has decided to use the same area you’ve picked for a nude shoot! Shooting outdoors is quite dynamic! And it’s fun because it’s challenging to juggle exposure settings, angles, locations, and watching out for wayward hikers. No two shoots are ever the same. This is why I love what I do.

So what ever the weather does this weekend I’m going to shoot outdoors and even if it rains…. Rainy nudes are cool right?
