It was exactly one year ago today that I shot my first nude images with Sylvia on Maui. A shoot that went extremely well and also showed that I could do this. That the dream really wasn’t as crazy as it seemed. That shoot showed me what I really wanted to spend the rest of my life doing. Creating beautiful art!

When I first had the idea to shoot nudes, I was 18 years old and it was an idea that just felt right to me but I didn’t understand why or even how to go about achieving that idea. At that time I had only been playing with photography for a few months. I was shooting on a borrowed camera and film was rather expensive. But I knew it was something I wanted to do. I would spend the next 15 years thinking about it, wondering if I could do it and of course being afraid of people might think of me. When I finally let go of the fear and decided to do it. It changed my life in a positive way, forever.

I am grateful to everyone who has helped me to realize this wonderful dream which is so full of beauty. A dream that brings so many amazing moments and stories into my life. A dream which makes me feel as though I matter, as though my voice counts. I also thank all of you who read this site and view the images posted here. I hope that you will continue to read and view and I hope that you will continue to enjoy the art.
