I’ve been gearing for another shoot. I don’t have a model as of yet but it doesn’t hurt to start thinking about ideas.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been looking at my photos and I’m feeling like I want to shake things up. I love hiking in the woods or going out to a gorgeous beach and shooting nudes but I feel like doing something gritty and raw.

Along those lines, one idea I’ve had lately is to do a shoot in an industrial location. You know the place, lots of metal and concrete. maybe there’s pipes going in all different directions. Maybe it’s a rundown factory or an industrial center in current use. I’ve been looking for places like this but so far have been unable to find a place where we can shoot nudes without being seen or getting arrested. I think the contrast between the soft skin and the harsh metal or concrete is interesting and can be beautiful.

Another idea I’d love to explore is one that a friend of mine gave me a while back. The idea is to use the body as the landscape and find random pieces of nature to be placed into the nude landscape. its an idea that started with a shot I did with Sylvia way back in February and I just never got around to doing it.

One type of shoot I have yet to do is an indoor shoot. I’ve sent so much time shooting outdoors that it might be interesting to shoot indoors for a change. It might even be fun to just hang out and shoot. Shots of a model just being herself in a comfortable environment. Basically it would feel like you were just hanging out with that person for a day. I think that might be a lot of fun.

Those are my thoughts for now. I’m hoping to setup another shoot this weekend and I’ll try one of these ideas and we’ll see what happens…
