Well, the old adage that location is everything is so true when it comes to artistic nudes. My motto is if it doesn’t inspire me…I don’t shoot there. Plain and simple. I’ve found some amazing places and I’ve also found some not so great places. I don’t mean to diminish the beauty found at the places I didn’t like it’s just that I couldn’t shoot there. A lot of the places I’ve been to have been amazing places but some are better for nudes than others.

The criteria is that the place has to be a little out of the way so that people don’t wander into the shoot or become an audience. But also I’ve found that the places that are out of the way are different than those that are popular places. The less traveled location seem to have a different energy. It’s very hard to describe but when you feel it..you know.

THe next location I’d like to find is an old abandoned building somewhere in the woods or even in an industrial area. I have dreams of shots where we see the models skin against old concrete or a wall full of graffiti. I wake up and I know what I want to do, I just need the location to do it at. I will keep looking. If you know of a location like this write me. I’d love to find a place like this.
